{"id":2001,"date":"2015-06-03T16:28:40","date_gmt":"2015-06-03T16:28:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/freedomnetworkusa.org\/?p=2001"},"modified":"2020-04-29T14:56:11","modified_gmt":"2020-04-29T14:56:11","slug":"lynnette-parker-is-honored-by-the-fbi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/freedomnetworkusa.org\/2015\/06\/03\/lynnette-parker-is-honored-by-the-fbi\/","title":{"rendered":"Lynnette Parker is honored by the FBI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lynnette Parker, Associate Clinical Professor at the Katherine and George Alexander Community Law Center was recognized last year by the FBI for her incredible and unwavering work with victims of human trafficking.<\/p>\n<p>Parker has been working in the Bay Area and has advocated for human trafficking victims for nearly 15 years. \u00a0Parker was honored for her advocacy by the FBI with the FBI Director&#8217;s Community Leadership Award from the San Francisco Field Office at a 2014 awards ceremony.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Parker&#8217;s outstanding achievements include the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In 2005, she helped form the multi-agency South Bay Coalition to End Human Trafficking, which meets monthly and shares information and resources to meet the housing, legal, and support needs of victims.<\/li>\n<li>She and other coalition members have spoken before hundreds of social-services, legal, and other groups to educate them on the problems, signs, and resources for trafficking victims.<\/li>\n<li>She\u2019s referred numerous cases to law enforcement, helping the San Francisco FBI office launch at least two major trafficking-ring investigations.<\/li>\n<li>She and her team have helped more than 80 families get \u201cT-Visas\u201d that enable them to stay in the U.S. legally while trafficking cases are prosecuted.<\/li>\n<li>She has helped launch numerous classes at Santa Clara University dealing with human trafficking.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Freedom Network is proud to work with the Alexander Law Center at Santa Clara University and Lynnette Parker in her efforts to eradicate human trafficking.<\/p>\n<p>Click Here to read more from the Santa Clara Law News <a href=\"http:\/\/law.scu.edu\/news\/kgaclc-immigration-attorney-receives-prestigious-fbi-award\/\">Press Release<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lynnette Parker, Associate Clinical Professor at the Katherine and George Alexander Community Law Center was recognized last year by the FBI for her incredible and unwavering work with victims of human trafficking.
